Joining this pathway will give you the opportunity to develop your general English skills while addressing more specific personal, professional or academic needs through our Target Modules.

This pathway is designed for students who have A2-C1 level of English (according to the CEFR) who are aiming to continue to an undergraduate or postgraduate programme either at the University of Manchester or another university in an English speaking country.

Key Information

When does the course run? The courses run all year round, with various start points throughout the year. See Course Dates and Fees
How long is the course?

The minimum period of study is 4 weeks. The length of course you choose will be dependent on your reasons for study.

What is the class timetable? You will study for 21 hours per week: Monday - Thursday 09:30 - 15:30, Friday 09:30 - 13:00. You will be expected to do some homework and self-study. For further details see Course Description
What is the minimum enrolment age 

The minimum enrolment age is 18

Do I need a visa? International students from outside the EU/EAA will require either a Student Visitor Visa or a Tier 4 General Student Visa. More information can be found here
